Start with the amount of suitable light or mixed waste you believe you have. Then choose the access. The calculator applies the automatic two-person rule for a no-lift flat from half-load upward and for a loft. Add weekend or evening timing and select any chargeable specialist items. The calculator is deliberately transparent about what it cannot know. It cannot weigh a pile of rubble from a dropdown, see a long carrying route or identify an unknown chemical container. Why Access Changes The Labour Plan
A load beside the van can be completed much faster than the same volume carried down several flights of stairs. That is why the estimator asks about access rather than hiding the issue. Flats without a lift require two people from half-load upward. Loft clearances require two people. An additional labourer is £150 + VAT, and where a two-person clearance runs beyond four hours, extra time is £100 + VAT per hour for both labourers.
Weekend, Evening And Parking Rules
Saturday and Sunday clearances add £200 + VAT. Clearances starting after 5pm add £200 + VAT. If both apply, both surcharges apply. If a parking permit or visitor authorisation is required, it needs to be arranged for the vehicle. Parking tickets or PCNs incurred at the parking position requested for the clearance are recharged under the booking terms.
Specialist Items In The Estimator
The selectable item prices come from the current website pricing rules rather than invented averages. They include mattresses, upholstered sofas, refrigeration, tyres, paint pots and gas bottles. These are shown separately because their disposal route can differ from ordinary mixed waste.
Heavy Waste Is Different
Rubble, concrete and similar dense material can exceed a vehicle's legal payload long before the cage looks full. Do not use a light-waste full-load price as a promise for dense material. Send clear photographs, an approximate quantity and any useful dimensions so the correct vehicle and disposal route can be planned.
Estimator Versus Confirmed Quote
A planning estimate becomes useful when it is paired with evidence. After using the calculator, send a slow video that shows the entire waste scope and the carrying route.
